Launching Fall 2026! Come visit our OPEN HOUSE Thursday, July 2 @ 1-4pm
DISCOVERY DOJO
Managing your children's education can feel daunting.
The standard textbook-workbook approach can feel safe, but it's not the living education you imagined when you made the decision to homeschool. Social meetups are important, but not always the most productive use of your busy schedule. You want your children to have a community built around friendship, teamwork, and real-life learning.
Discovery Dojo can help!
We are a homeschool resource center offering a unique combination of Charlotte Mason-style writing classes, project-based learning, martial arts, and community open gym time. Our hands-on, immersive program will offer plenty of opportunities for group projects and inspiration!
We will be offering half-day programs for several age groups:
-
Early Elementary: Wednesdays 10:00 - 2:00
-
Upper Elementary: Thursdays 10:00 - 2:00
-
Middle School: Thursdays 12:30 - 4:30
Along with our weekly classes, we'll offer suggested activities and optional group field trips to build on what we're learning. In addition, members get free access to our Open Gym time on Wednesday afternoons to burn off some energy, play board games, and meet up with other homeschool families.
More About Us
Our program will be led by Lori Bleau, a parent with over fifteen years of homeschooling experience teaching her own five children using Charlotte Mason and project-based methods. She is passionate about holistic education, and enjoys helping students gain fundamental skills through topics that capture their interest and inspire creativity. Lori has also led project-based group classes, organized numerous group field trips and nature walks, launched and administered a major homeschool social media group, and previously managed a local homeschool recess for many years. Lori has also served over six years as an assistant coach for kids' judo and heads up our community programs, in addition to competing regularly in judo.
We recognize homeschool parents as the primary educators for your children, and will work to support your efforts with enriching classes and support. Contact us to learn more about our homeschool program!
